As part of the Shared Education programme pupils in Years 6, 7 at Dromore PS and Tummery PS and Year 8 at St John’s College had the opportunity to attend a three day residential at Gortatole Outdoor Education Centre.
Over the three days all pupils participated in a number of activities often having to work as part of a team. The pupils took part in orienteering, hillwalking, night line, canoeing, kayaking, sailing and on the climbing wall and high and low ropes.
‘It was a fun and exciting experience and at times challenging for the young people as they conquered their fears and learned new skills.’
